Supervisory Social Worker (HUD-VASH)

This position serves as the Supervisory Social Worker assigned to the HUD-VASH Program located within the Social Work and Chaplain Service and housed at the Rockford, IL Homeless Program Office. This position will have significant personnel training/management responsibilities for professional staff employees at the GS-12 grade level and below. This position is responsible for the professional and administrative management of Rockford Homeless Program social workers 50% of the time, and provides direct clinical services 50% of the time. - Independently provides psychosocial and case management services, works in complex settings without direct supervision. - Serves as the Supervisor for the Rockford Homeless Program staff. - Assists in planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures. - Develops individual or group goals and objectives as well as monitoring, operating, evaluating, coordinating, and overseeing staff. - Serves as the primary Clinical Lead & Supervisor for the HUD-VASH, Grant & Per Diem, and Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program. - Manages daily operations of the program, coordinates team meetings, clinical activities and tasks. - Ensures adherence to the Team Model, prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. - Ensures specific procedures and clinical documentation protocol within the Homeless Program are well articulated and communicated to new staff. - Supervised employees to accomplish the work of the organization unit. - Participates, attends, and facilitates staff meetings to address program planning, administration, quality and performance initiatives or activities. - Participates on local, VISN, and national conference calls. - Provides training to students, residents, interns and fellows as a field instructor or preceptor. - Performs other related duties as assigned. - Must be a United States Citizen. - Must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), 7407(d).- Must have a Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Copy Required. - Must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at an advanced level (LCSW). Copy Required. GS-12 GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Social Worker Program Coordinator or Manager must have experience that demonstrates possession of advanced practice skills and judgment. At least two years experience should be in an area of specialized social work practice. GS-12 Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In addition, must demonstrate the following KSAs:
1) In-depth knowledge of the program coordinated, and demonstrated knowledge and ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program. 2) Knowledge and skill in management/administration, which includes supervision, consultation, negotiation, and monitoring. 3) Ability tosupervise multidisciplinary staff assigned tothe program. 4) Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and evaluate assigned program area(s). 5) Ability to provide training, orientation, consultation and guidance within clinical specialization of practice. A valid, unrestricted State Driver's License is required for this position. Physical Requirements:
Much of the work occurs within a typical office setting, either individually or in meeting with others, or in meeting rooms. Requires time to be spent walking. The incumbent may be exposed to infectious diseases and medical/psychiatric emergencies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
