Engineering Manager

POSITION
Summary:
The Engineering Manager is a highly qualified individual who plans, designs, optimizes, and supervises the manufacturing process. The main responsibility of this engineering manager is to create, document, and implement procedures required to manufacture and test component parts in accordance with relevant ISO and TS quality standards and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
o Develops, evaluates, improves and documents the manufacturing processes.
o Develops and implements process control techniques and procedures into the manufacturing environment.
o Analyzes manufacturing process flows for enhancements in quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
o Collaborates with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
o Estimates staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
o Works closely with the operations department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
o Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low cost, using Solid modeling.
o Creates and maintains accurate documentation of tool drawings, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
o Provides engineering support to the operations department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
o Provides accurate cost estimates to our customers; read and interpret engineering specs to determine complete requirements; create bill of materials, detailed sequences of operations, and identifies tooling requirements; computes cost factors and prepares itemized cost worksheets.
o Blueprint/drawing review to allow proper planning and inspection
o Good understanding of quality planning tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Gage R & R, Gage Calibration.
o Write & maintain work instructions, setup instructions, BOMs, and PFMEAs.
o Qualify and interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.
o Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S.
o Develops and evaluates capital improvements projects.
o Responsible for ECNs (Engineering Change Notices)
o May be required to operate other equipment or machinery within RMCo. as necessary.
o Have a strong commitment to the work and production produced by RMCo.
o Any and all other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
o 4-year degree or 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Thorough knowledge of industry standards and related manufacturing processes, particularly metal stampings, PLCs, welding, finishing, assembly, and packaging.
o Must be skilled in the use of computers and proficient in MS Windows and MS Office.
o 3D CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
o Journeyman Tool & Die maker a plus.
o Ability to grasp modern technology quickly.
o Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
o Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with RMCo team members, small businesses, and customers.
o Must adhere to RMCo policies and procedures.
o Must assist in maintaining a safe environment.
o Must have ability to adapt to various skills.
o Valid Illinois Driver's License.
Physical Demands:
o Required to frequently sit, walk, bend, stoop, lift, climb, stretch and drive for extended periods. Ability to walk up and down stairs.
o Required to lift/move objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
o Work environment: Regularly exposed to heat, cold, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc.
o May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends, to meet company commitments/goals.
o Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above.
Environment and Scheduling
o Will perform work in and in association with RMCo. settings, as well as but not limited to small businesses, customers, and in various community settings.
o Duties involve contact with, but not limited to, outside consultants, auditors, customers and RMCo. team, including President and CEO.
o Must be flexible in scheduling and available to work evening and weekend shifts.

Site specific training on requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the plan's health information policies and procedures under the direction of the plan privacy officer may be required for this position based upon site specific requirements. Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
