Production Material Handler

POSITION
Summary:
The Material Handler loads and unloads material from trucks using a forklift. Moves material needed for job setups. Maintains all scrap hoppers and dumps when needed.
Essential Functions:
o Loading coils of raw material on reels/cradles
o Loading and unloading trucks in the dock
o Properly tagging/identifying raw material upon receipt
o Moving dies to/from tool room, presses and die racks
o Moving raw material/tubs/packaging to/from machines
o Dumping scrap hoppers
o Comply with, promote, and enforce safety, health, environmental (EHS) rules, regulations, company policies, and laws.
o Ensure compliance to the standards of business conduct through familiarity with RMCo's policies and procedures and a commitment of RMCo's vision.
o Promote and practice timely and accurate communication, both verbally and in writing.
o Work effectively and relate well with co-workers, customers, and vendors. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with same.
o Performs any and all other tasks assigned or required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
o High School diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years' previous forklift experience required.
o Must obtain a forklift license from RMCo.
o Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
o Thorough knowledge of industry standards and related manufacturing processes, particularly metal stampings, welding, finishing, assembly, and packaging.
o Ability to grasp modern technology quickly.
o Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
o Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with RMCo team members, small businesses, and customers.
o Must adhere to RMCo policies and procedures.
o Must assist in maintaining a safe environment
Physical Demands:
o Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, climb, and stretch for extended periods.
o Required to lift/move objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
o May be required to work any shift, including weekends, to meet company commitments/goals.
o Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
o Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above.
Environment and Scheduling
o Regularly exposed to high-speed machinery, noise, lubricants, and metal filings.
o Duties involve contact with, but not limited to, outside consultants, auditors, customers and RMCo. Team, including President and CEO.
o Must be flexible in scheduling and available to work evening and weekend shifts.

All employees who have access to health information whose confidentiality is protected by the HIPAA Privacy Rule are required by the Rule to receive training so that they have an understanding and knowledge of the Privacy Rule that corresponds to their job responsibilities and of the group health plan's policies and procedures that impact on their job duties. Site specific training on requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the plan's health information policies and procedures under the direction of the plan privacy officer may be required for this position based upon site specific requirements. Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
