Field Service Engineer (Machine Tools)
Our client, located in Rockford, Illinois, has an immediate need to fill the position of Field Service Engineer (Machine Tools).
Job Description
This Company is looking for someone with field service experience in the machine tool industry. This individual performs and oversees the installation or replacement of equipment and control.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Troubleshooting of wiring and electrical systems.
o Availability to travel domestic and international at least up to 75% of the time (mandatory).
o Troubleshooting of fluid and electrical servo activated systems.
o Level and alignment of CNC machines.
o Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical components such as spindle units, gearboxes, and other mechanical machine components.
o Mechanical troubleshooting of closed and open loop axes control.
o CNC geometry and positioning axis compensation.
o Train hands on Junior Service Engineers.
o Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvement.
o Ability to align and use positioning, straightness and geometry measuring lasers.
o 5 axis Traori set up.
o Automatic tool changer and tool management trouble shooting and setup.
o Acceptance test with customers.
o Maintenance training for customers.

o 4-8 years of experience in the Machine Tool Field.
o Good understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office Tools.
