CNC Machinist

Our client, located in Rockford, Illinois, has an immediate need to fill the position of CNC Machinist.

Job Description
This individual operate large CNC machines and have ability to fine tune speeds and feeds so that required finishes and tolerances are achieved. Parts are up to 80 tons and 30 meters in length.

Duties and Responsibilities
o Read routings and blueprints to determine the proper set up procedure to be used.
o Operate large machines and have ability to fine tune speeds and feeds so that required finishes and tolerances are achieved.
o Set-up work piece on the table utilizing overhead crane. Load pre-set tooling into tool chains.
o Make necessary adjustment to complete machining operations.
o Verifies the completion of machining using precision measuring instruments.
o Work with supervision and engineering to correct drawing errors, which affect the quality and productivity of the company.
o Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
o Three to five years of machining experience. Operation of same/similar machinery a must.
o Must be able to read routings and blueprints.
o Must have ability to operate machine manually using correct speeds and feeds.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess these
Qualifications:
o 3
years of CNC Machining experience on Large CNC Machines and for Large Parts.
o Local or close enough for a short easy move.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
