We are currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer II to represent our client; a leading aerospace commercial & military systems and subsytem components for fluid monitoring and sensing systems manufacturer. The focus will be on the performance of routine functions implementing standard techniques, procedures, and other engineering functions. This position may also require project based relationships with customers, suppliers, individuals or organizations.
The ideal candidate will work well under moderate to high level of supervision; most work is still reviewed by a more senior engineer. In addition, Candidates may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals or organizations. Individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate technical issues to all levels of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Implement process improvements on projects.
Review and investigate reports regarding products and document findings.
Analyze simple components.
Perform hydraulic, stress and control theory analysis.
Write and perform component testing.
Disposition hardware.
Work with international locations to: generate, discuss and maintain component design proposals are in line with customer request and manufacturing/cost implications
Create designs using 2D and 3D drafting; including dimensioning and tolerancing; CREO & SolidDesigner preferred.
Retrieve drawings from storage system.
Create and Release BOMs.

Qualifications:
Basic use and understanding of FEA tools.
Basic use of DFSS tools and methodologies.
Basic knowledge of Engineer quality systems.
Basic understanding of component function and testing.
Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, shop standards and procedures.
Software Skills: CREO & SolidDesigner preferred.
Required
Experience:

years of Engineering experience required; OR entry level MS degree candidate.
Previous experience in manufacturing processes and quality systems.
Required Education: Bachelors degree from a four year accredited institution.
Position: 18 month contract
Location: Rockford, IL 61107
Employment Criteria: U.S. Citizenship is required by law or government contract for this position. This position includes access or potential access to ITAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
