We are looking for a Quality Control Technician/Inspector.
Position
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for finished products including documentation of final inspections and testing.
This position will also perform material movement and warehouse functions.
Inspect finished products by confirming specifications on blueprints, conducting visual and/or measurement tests and returning products for rework.
Inspect re-worked products in final.
Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw material, components, and sub-assemblies used in Final Assembly Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to inspection findings.
Initiate Non-Conformance reports (material rejection notices) as required.
Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products to ensure the product has been tested and falls within standards.
Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly.
Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts or inspection tag.
Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Perform other quality system processes at the direction of the Quality Director Test assembled electrical components.
Designs and develops forms and instructions (Run Charts) for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
Communicates with and directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product.
Inspects product, providing receiving inspection of purchased goods, 1st piece inspection of product in-process, and Final Acceptance of finished product.
May maintain Gage Calibration system, including checking, calibrating, repairing gauges and issuing gauges.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
2 to 4 years of job-related trade school or vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship.
